Sunday, November 22nd, 2009I’ve been meaning to get this recipe up here for a while. Tennis Rolls are sweet, rich bread roll flavored with lemon and best eaten hot with cheese. They’re almost exclusive to Guyana. Check out the details below…
Tennis Rolls Ingredients:
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- ¼ cup warm water, 110°F
- ¼ cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk, scalded
- 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk beaten
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp grated lemon rind or orange rind
- 2 tsp lemon extract
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4½ to 5 cups flour
