These tracks are taken from two different sessions. The first five selections are from a live in-studio BBC 1xtra radio program recorded in London. The remaining selections are from a May 17, 2010 performance at the Highline Ballroom in New York City.
I am very impressed that the live performances are on point. If you get a chance to see this show, you might want to reserve tickets at the earliest possible moment. Unfortunately, these recordings are not commercially available. Fortunately, however, sharing music is the raison d’etre of BoL.
So, whether you get to see Damian and Nas, here is close to an hour of live versions of music from their new and aptly titled album, Distant Relatives.
No lie, but Distant Relatives is my father’s favorite album right now. He’s 63.
That said, I know he’d be happy to hear this right now. This is from their BBC 1Xtra Taping last week. Check out the audio below…

Not all together on one song though, unfortunately.
I’ve been sitting on these two joints for a few days. I figured it’d make sense to give them both to you at once. Check out the music below…

Yet another released Distant Relatives track, at this point I’m wondering what I haven’t heard from the LP yet. I think they have proven that its going to be good, so hopefully the next time I am listening to the a track on the album its because it May 18th. Needless to say this is another good work from collabo.

No need to worry I’m not posting another leak for the Distant Relatives LP, this time its an interview with Nas & Damian talking about the upcoming tour, and the album.
I feel like we’ve posted the whole album already. It’s been good music all-round though, so I don’t think anyone’s complaining, but geez. This time, they’ve brought Joss Stone and Lil’ Wayne along for the ride.
Check out the tracks below…

We are slowly approaching the Mat 18th release date for the Distant Relatives project and it seems like as each week we get closer, more teasers are released. This week is no different, we have the video for the song “As We Enter”, my guess is that this will be the lead single for the album. Also there is the making of the video after the jump.
Here is something to whet your palette while you wait on Nas & Damian to drop Distant Relatives on Mat 18th. The Promise Land also features Dennis Brown whose vocals give the track that dub sound.
