To commemorate his new album… This dude, in my eyes, is the undisputed king of the beat. NO ONE does it better than him.

I credit Pete and C.L., the track ‘T.R.O.Y.’ more specifically, with being the first hip hop joint that got me into really paying attention to the lyrics, as opposed to just vibing to the music. I was about 10 or 11 when that came out, and it just spoke to me like nothing I’ve ever heard before.

I decided to go with the Jamaican flag in the background as it’s part of his heritage. That, and I wanted something more iconic so it wouldn’t clash with him so much.
