Cook This: Curry Chicken.
Wednesday, November 26th, 2008
Thanksgiving’s here, so I figured it was time I post another recipe. This time I bring you a Guyanese staple, Curry chicken. It’s actually not that hard to make really, but like anything, practice makes perfect. Check out the specs below…
CURRY CHICKEN Ingredients
3 lb chicken cut up into small pieces
4 medium potatoes, peeled and halved
1 whole garlic
1 small hot pepper
2 medium onions
2 tbsp oil (I use olive oil…)
2 tbsp ground curry powder
½ tbsp garam massala (Be easy on this, too much can really spoil the taste of the stew…)
1 piece cinnamon stick
Vote For Kidz, Win A Zune (Maybe).
Wednesday, November 26th, 2008
Two of my peoples have come together recently, so I had to give them a shout here.
Kidz In The Hall have teamed up with Zune, to offer their fans who vote for their new video, “Love Hangover” feat. Estelle, on 106 & Park a chance to win a custom Zune with the Kidz’ logo (that I designed, btw…) engraved on the back. I’m sure they put some exclusive content on there as well.
Check out more info on the contest here and check the video for “Love Hangover” below. The video was filmed at Microsoft Zune’s Space in LA….
Btw….DJ Double 0 ran track for Belize in the ’04 Olympics…and my cousin ran for Barbados. Random, I know….

Photography from LIFE Magazine.
Friday, November 21st, 2008This week, Google teamed up with LIFE Magazine to make the publication’s entire image archive available online. That means that millions of photos, most they say have never actually been published, are now fully searchable.
Caribbean life is, of course, well represented. Check out a few of the shots I found below…

Rumor: Peter Tosh Movie with Jagger & Scorsese?
Wednesday, November 19th, 2008So I heard this on the radio today, and I don’t have an online source to back it up, but there may be a Peter Tosh biopic in the works, produced by none other than Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese. Jagger and Scorsese recently joined forces after the success of their last collaborative effort, Shine A Light, a concert film on the Rolling Stones. Check out the info below…
The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger is set to produce a film with director Martin Scorsese, according to reports. The singer is looking into buying the rights to various biographies which the pair could turn into a film, claims The Sun, although the paper did not reveal further details about the project or the source of the information…
Given the relationship Jagger had with Tosh, a film on the icon would definitely make sense. Tosh was actually signed to Rolling Stones Records in 1978 and Mick played a big part in his crossing over to a larger audience. We’ll see if this all actually comes to fruition. Stayed tuned for updates.
There is pretty good film on Tosh already out there, Stepping Razor (Red X), that features taped diaries from throughout his life. For those who haven’t already seen it, check it out after the jump. Also, check out a video for “(You Gotta Walk And) Don’t Look Back,” a duet with Tosh & Jagger.
